Letter from my Pastor

September 5, 2007
Dear Pastor and Laborer in the Harvest Field,
I am writing on behalf of Estevan Montoya. It has been my privilege to know Bro. Estevan for approximately eight years. As a young man in high school he had a tender heart for the Lord. At the age of 16 he surrendered to God’s will for his life. After graduating from high school he headed to Golden State Baptist College to prepare for his life calling. It was there he met his wife. Bro. Estevan completed his Bible College training and then served as a Christian school principal for a year.

Bro. Estevan is a young man with the touch of God upon his life. He is humble and has a sweet spirit. He is a powerful preacher, but he also lives what he preaches. He is solid doctrinally. He is separated and has strong convictions. He is passionate for the lost. He is a soul winner.

Norther New Mexico is one of the neediest areas in the United States. We have prayed for laborers for her harvest for years. God had burdened Bro. Estevan for Northern New Mexico, and in particular for Taos County. Bro. Estevan desires to plant a church in Taos and then use this work as a base for reaching the rest of Taos County.

Bro. Estevan and his wife are members of Valley Bible Baptist Church. It is our plan to birth a church in Taos out of our church. God has opened a door of ministry into Taos. We have some families that drive from Taos to our church. God has given us opportunities to minister to others in Taos. However, Taos is one hour away and we need to reach Taos from Taos.

As a pastor, I can whole-heartedly recommend Bro. Estevan Montoya and his wife. He is worthy of your prayers. He is worthy of your support. He will bless you with his preaching.

May God bless you and your labors. If you have further questions, please do no hesitate to call.

In Christ,
Pastor Brian McMath
