Hello Pastors and Fellow Christians,
God has been moving in our ministry, and I believe that is a direct result of you continued prayer and concern for our ministry. We are truly thankful for your prayer support, encouragement, and financial support.
Big News! We had an “I Love My Church” campaign on February 14th with the goal of raising $1,000 in one day to start a building fund. My pastor, Brian McMath, preached for us. During that time, Pastor McMath said he would match our offering up to $1,000. By the end of the day our church brought in $1,650 and with the matching amount, we received a total of $2,650 in one day! Our goal is to stay in our storefront for two more years. We also plan to remodel out current location, but still save for a property or building of our own.
Good News! Being a home missionary, I know what it is like to be in need and have churches help our family. We still are living on missionary support, but God dealt we me about being a help to others. Before our church was one year old, we started supporting a foreign missionary. Since then, we have started supporting two more missionaries. Our goal is to support five missionaries at $50/mo by the time our church is three years old. In the forth year, we want to increase our giving to $75/mo. Then in the fifth year we want to take on two more missionaries. On top of that, we want to have a budget that can give to special needs and the causes of missionaries of like faith and practice.
Family! Our family has been growing up quickly! Our oldest daughter, Elissa, will be 3 years old March 18th. Baby Esther is now 7th months old and is crawling everywhere! Eileen and I are doing good. Our family in is good health. God has been very good to us. We had several bills from previous medical emergencies, and God has allowed us to get most of them paid off (Praise God for tax returns).
Please be in prayer for a young man in our ministry named Rojelio Cruz. He is 17 years old. Since he started coming to our church he was baptized. He has dedicated his life to the Lord and will be following Gods call to preach the Gospel. I have worked with him, and now he will preach his first sermon March 7th. He asked for prayer because he wants to bring all his old friends to church so they can hear him preach a Gospel message. Pray people come, hear, and receive the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This young man has had an impact on his family, resulting in a cousin of his getting saved. We are going to the public pool to baptize her the same day he preaches his first sermon. It is amazing to see God working in the homes and the families of such a needy area!
